Are business cards necessary anymore?
I recently found business cards from folks I met over the years and sent them invites to connect on LinkedIn. In the late '90's there was the Palm Pilot that enabled “beaming” cards between devices. LinkedIn has a QR code you can share with others. 👇👇👇 What are your thoughts? The Velvet Mousetrap
Business travel, expense accounts, nightly dinners in upscale restaurants, Vegas. The good old days we hope for again in 2021. But you disagree with your management team, company culture, and department’s strategy. You justify it by saying it's …great to meet with customers or partners and …catch up with friends at industry events Particularly when they are in better climates. In other words, you had a lifestyle job and were caught in the “velvet mousetrap” as a former colleague used to say. So, in 2021 are people more apt to leave their current employer as the lifestyle aspect of their job is greatly diminished but they are stuck with bad managers? As the calendar turns to 2021 and travel likely remains depressed, how many of the lifestyle job folks will see what else is out there? As the sayings go, “employees don’t leave companies, they leave managers” and "culture eats strategy for breakfast" #culture #strategy #management #lifestyle #businesstravel I had a spirited debate on this topic.
